SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs fans are about to add more gear to their Silver and Black gear collection and look cool as ice.
The Spurs have launched "The Iceman Collection,” collaborating with team icon George Gervin.
The collection includes men’s and women’s T-shirts, women’s crop T-shirts, hoodies, caps, and a full tracksuit, a la Gervin’s iconic custom suit produced by Nike, New Era, and NBA Licensee Pro Standard.
The merchandise is a modern take on one of basketball’s most iconic moments - Gervin on his throne of ice.
It’s an homage to those who came before and an “If you don’t know, now you know” moment for the next generation of NBA Fans.
And Gervin took a personal approach to the new clothing line.
The collection took over a year, and George helped create the Nike portions of the line.
The baby blue colorway on some pieces refers to Gervin's custom tracksuit emblazoned with his “Ice” nickname. It is meant to capture how cool George looked on his ice throne.
