A Night in Old San Antonio (everyone calls it NIOSA) is a fun time to get together in La Villita as Fiesta reached its midway point.

A Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA)

April 25-28, 5:30 - 10:30 p.m.

La Villita, downtown

This could be THE most crowded Fiesta event ever. But, for most who attend, that's what they are looking for. So, in you go to the Irish Flats for some Killian's and Blarney bacon, or let cloggers entertain you at Sauerkraut Bend in the Villita Assembly Hall. In all, there are 15 different cultural areas that harken back to San Antonio's original settlers.

Although you may see a few here, it is not advisable to bring small children due to the tight fit with crowds.

There's lots of food, lots of lines and lots of people you haven't seen in years. That's what keeps people coming back. It's tradition. You must go. There are spots for dancing, too, but don't wear those cute little strappy sandals, unless you don't mind getting stepped on by someone in cowboy boots.

Parking is always a bit of a challenge when attending Fiesta events. Just expect it. You can usually find a spot in one of the parking lots, but it will be at a premium price. Check out the city's downtown parking lot options. Again, you may have to drive around for a bit to find a choice space.

FIESTA GUIDE:

Are you brand new to Fiesta? If you've arrived in San Antonio in the past several years, you may never have been to a "normal" Fiesta event. Last year's Fiesta was the first time since April 2019 that Fiesta was held in its normal timeframe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The KENS 5 Fiesta Guide has all the information you need to get up to speed. Check it out here >>>
