Fiesta Best Bets: Thursday, April 20: 'Fiesta Fiesta' at Travis Park

This is when we officially get this party started. There will be a pretty big crowd at the new venue as San Antonio officially kicks off this year's Fiesta!

Fiesta is San Antonio's biggest party, but if you're new to the scene, you shouldn't let that make you feel overwhelmed.

Check out some of these Fiesta "best bets" to keep yourself ahead of the pack and make you feel like a Fiesta pro!

Travis Park in downtown San Antonio

4 - 10 p.m.

This is when we get this party started. There will be a pretty big crowd at Travis Park as the mayor, Fiesta royalty and entertainers officially kick off this year's Fiesta! But trust us, there's still plenty of room for you to soak in the first moments of the party, find some medals and enjoy some great food and music!

If you really want to feel Fiesta fever, you should go. It's one of the best Fiesta events of the year!


Fiesta Carnival: Alamodome Parking Lot C, 100 Montana St., 5-11 p.m.

Taste of the Republic: Alamo Plaza, 6-10 p.m.

Are you brand new to Fiesta? If you've arrived in San Antonio in the past several years, you may never have been to a "normal" Fiesta event. Last year's Fiesta was the first time since April 2019 that Fiesta was held in its normal timeframe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
