Five things to watch: Spurs versus Pelicans

Can the Spurs pick up a win in New Orleans?

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (18-58) will visit the New Orleans Pelicans (45-31).

GAME REWIND

The Spurs are coming off a road loss versus the Nuggets, 110-105.

Victor Wembanyama had a near quadruple-double and led the team with 23 points, eight assists, nine blocks, and 15 rebounds. Cedi Osman scored 10 points in the loss before exiting the game with an ankle injury. Zach Collins contributed 13 points, Malaki Branham had 24 points, and Tre Jones added a triple-double with 10 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds.

Due to injuries, San Antonio was without Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson, and Devin Vassell.

"We missed some easy ones for sure, myself included. That is just how it goes sometimes; we shot 50 percent from the free-throw line," Jones said. "I think that is the main thing that killed us tonight, it was not necessarily shots not falling and whatnot. If we take care of free throws, the game could definitely fall our way."
