Two women with three dogs lead police on high-speed chase across San Antonio

One woman got away, one was taken into custody and the dogs were relocated.

SAN ANTONIO — Two women led police on a high-speed chase across the city early Thursday morning in a stolen truck with three dogs inside of it.

Castle Hills Police started the pursuit of a white Dodge Ram around 3 a.m. on Blanco at Loop 410 because of reckless driving and they didn't have their headlights on. Officials say the truck was being driven by a woman in her 20s, who had another woman with her as a passenger, as well as three dogs.

The passenger bailed out of the truck on Cypress Street and Main Street and has not been found or detained.

Bexar County Sheriff's deputies deployed spike strips Culebra and Loop 1604. The driver finally crashed the truck at Alamo Parkway and FM 1516.

Castle Hills Police determined the truck was stolen and took the woman into custody. The three dogs were relocated.

According to BCSO, the woman reached "excessive speeds" while they were chasing after her along parts of 281 and Loop 1604.

Thankfully, no Injuries were reported.

Officers believe both women have possible gang affiliations.

The case remains under investigation.
