SAN ANTONIO — The Selena Movie will be shown at Alamo Drafthouse on April 16, which is Selena’s birthday.

The movie will be screened at three San Antonio area locations, Park North, Westlakes and Marketplace in New Braunfels.

The 1997 movie followed the rise and tragic murder of Selena Quintanilla Perez and starred Jennifer Lopez and Edward James Olmos.

At the screening, there will be props handed out to use during the film, and a lyric sheet to sing along with the songs. There will also be a custom pre-show dedicated to Selena with her music videos and rare interviews.
