Multiple incidents at Sugar's gentlemen's club kept police busy early Monday

While responding to a report of an angry boyfriend shooting up a car, they came across a man getting robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot.

SAN ANTONIO — Two crime scenes unfolding around the same time in the same place kept police busy early Monday morning on the north side of town.

San Antonio Police responded to Sugar's gentlemen's club around 2 a.m. for a reported dispute involving an angry boyfriend shooting up a car in the parking lot. But things quickly changed and they found themselves investigating a shootout with four people, including a security guard.

While officers were dealing with the first incident, three men were robbing and beating up a victim in the parking lot on the other side of the building. The victim ran away and alerted the club security guard who found the three men who police say were attempting to rob another person.

That's where detectives say they got into a shootout with the security guard . One of the three suspects was shot, the other two drove away toward Cherry Ridge Drive.

The suspect was taken to University Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. According to the sergeant, the first man who was robbed won't file a report. Detectives have not said why.

We will continue following this investigation and bring you any updates.
