Man shot in what police say was 'retaliation' for getting friend in trouble

The suspects fled from the location in a dark colored sedan, according to police.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot in the foot on the southeast side of town in what police say was 'retaliation' for getting a friend in trouble.

San Antonio Police responded to the 400 block of Linda Lou Drive near South Hackberry Street around 10:18 p.m. Monday for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they found a 34-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his foot. He told police that he was on his front porch when he was approached by three or four suspects and they started shooting. He was hit once in the foot.

He told officers he believed the shooting was 'retaliation' for getting another friend in trouble.

The victim was taken to BAMC in stable condition. The suspects drove off in a dark-colored sedan.

No other description was provided of the suspects.

This is a developing story.
