Police have now arrested the suspect and charged him with murder.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was found fatally shot on the southeast side of town late Saturday night, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the 4000 block of East Southcross Boulevard around 10:48 p.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the 60-year-old victim with a gunshot wound on the floor of a apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Darryl Glynn Byrd, 60.

A witness told police they did not see the victim being shot.

This is a developing story.
