Man dies from injuries after being shot multiple times in chest, SAPD says

Police say the man went out on his front porch to change a light bulb when a suspect in a silver or gray sedan shot him multiple times.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say a man was critically injured after being shot multiple times in the chest late Monday night on the east side of town.

San Antonio Police responded to the 2700 block of Lake Crystal Street near Rigsby Avenue around 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived at the home, they found the victim with at least three gunshot wounds to his chest.

He told officers that he walked outside to supposedly change a light bulb on his front porch, and was talking to someone, when the suspect drove by in a gray or silver sedan and shot him three times in the chest.

He was taken to BAMC in critical condition where he died from his injuries. He has been identified as Robert Reyes-Rincon, 30.

Police are still trying to find the suspect. No other information was provided.

This is a developing story.
