Driver lost control of vehicle and crashed into building on east side, police say

Firefighters responded and checked the integrity of the building and it was reported to be okay.

SAN ANTONIO — A driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into an apartment building on the east side of town late Sunday evening, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the Oak Meadow Villa Apartments at the 2900 block of Rigsby Avenue for reports of a car hitting a building.

According to police, a driver lost control of their car while entering the apartment complex, and struck the building causing moderate damage. 

Firefighters responded and checked the integrity of the building and it was reported to be okay. 

No injuries were reported from inside the apartment. Nobody inside the car was injured either.

The crash is still currently under investigation.
