Musician AB Quintanilla was seen in viral videos chastising a San Antonio audience at a Fiesta event Saturday.

In multiple videos posted to TikTok from user eat_teach_repeat, the performer is heard lashing out at the people in the audience and accusing them of having a lack of energy.

Quintanilla is a record producer, songwriter and musician, who is well-known in the cumbia genre. He is also the brother of the Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla. A schedule for the Fiesta event, Tejano Explosion, lists AB Quintanilla y Los Kumbia King All Starz as performing the event on Saturday night.

At some point during the show, Quintanilla stopped performing and addressed the audience.

“Like somebody put a gun to your head, and forced you to be here tonight, you know what I’m saying? And that feels horrible, as a musician, to work so f***ing hard over all these years to bring you hits and you guys come here, and you can’t even f***ing raise your hands to f***ing clap or be happy, man. You know, that feels sad for us,” Quintanilla is heard saying in the video.

Several more videos were posted by the TikTok user that show Quintanilla berating the audience, including telling audience members, "Boo yourselves," in response to their boos.

Other media outlets are reporting that Quintanilla posted an apology to his official Instagram account, but a check of the account shows those posts were removed.
