Fiesta Pooch Parade | Cutest of all Fiesta parades showcasing dogs decked out in elaborate costumes

Plenty of pooches were decked out in their Fiesta finery and creative costumes!

SAN ANTONIO — Get ready for the cutest parade of Fiesta that celebrates our 4-legged friends and their very creative owners.

The 2024 Fiesta® Pooch Parade hosted by Therapy Animals of San Antonio is always guaranteed to be the biggest dog-friendly Fiesta parade in San Antonio and this year was no different!

The parade route began at Alamo Heights Swimming Pool located at 250 Viesca Street.

Some of the costumes for the dogs took days to make. One pet parent whose dog was painted like a tiger said it took about nine hours to complete, done in multiple sessions.

This event is both family friendly and 4-legged friend friendly and is so much more than a fun, festive 4K walk. There are no restrictions on the number of friendly dogs a person or family can bring; however, all dogs must be on leashes and under control for everyone’s enjoyment and safety.

There were over 1,000 dogs parading through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Alamo Heights, with folks cheering them. There's even treat and water stops for the doggos!

There was also a short-cut route for pups who need to speed through easily.

North Park Subaru led the Pooch Parade float with the 2024 pooch dignitary King Anbarkio, Scout, along for the ride. King Anbarkio in Waiting, Bacon, also joined in on the fun.
