SAPD and D.A.R.T find drugs, weapons, gambling machines at west-side business, multiple people arrested

San Antonio police had been looking into this particular location for awhile and were initially concerned about code issues and electrical issues.

SAN ANTONIO — Law law enforcement executed a warrant at a local business suspected of illegal gambling activity on the city's west side on Friday morning.

Authorities inspected a business on Castroville Road near General McMullen after reports of criminal activity. San Antonio police had been looking into this particular location for awhile and were initially concerned about code issues and electrical issues.

SAPD brought their concerns to the city's D.A.R.T. team.

Authorities found multiple people using gambling machines. Drugs and multiple weapons were also found in plain sight.

11 people were found on the property and about five were arrested for outstanding warrants.

After discovering the drugs and guns, a criminal search warrant was obtained.

Police also ran license plates on the vehicles on the property and found that one of the vehicles was stolen.

SAPD is taking over the investigation.

No other information was provided.

This is a developing story.
