Election Results - June 10, 2023
San Antonio's Runoff Election Day will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Check back here after the polls close at 7 p.m. for the latest election results.
Voters will head to the polls in two San Antonio districts to elect their representative on the San Antonio City Council.
In District 1, incumbent Councilman Mario Bravo came in second in the first round of voting, trailing newcomer Sukh Kaur. Bravo was censured by the council last November after a verbal altercation with then-Councilwoman Ana Sandoval.
In District 7, the seat vacated by Sandoval, Marina Alderete Gavito had a strong showing in the first round of voting and hopes to hold off second-place finisher Dan Rossiter.
In the first election on May 6, voters overwhelmingly reelected Mayor Ron Nirenberg and seven council members, and one new councilman was elected in District 10. They also rejected San Antonio's Proposition A, a city charger amendment that would have eliminated marijuana enforcement, banned choke holds and no-knock warrants, blocked SAPD enforement of state abortion laws, and additional provisions.
