One dead, one injured after head-on crash on southeast side

A man is dead and another is in the hospital after a head-on collision that took place on East Southcross Boulevard.

SAN ANTONIO — One man is dead after a head on collision on Saturday, police say. 

Around 12 p.m., a white Cadillac was reportedly seen speeding on East Southcross Boulevard near WW. White Road. 

The driver in the Cadillac crossed over the double yellow lines onto oncoming traffic and hit a gray Chevrolet Silverado truck head-on, authorities say. 

According to police the driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead on the scene and the driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The medical examiner has  identified the driver of the Cadillac as 20-year-old Juan Manuel Pedroza. 

No other details were provided.
