Bulls television broadcasters critical of Spurs' offense with Wembanyama

The Bulls TV analysts were baffled by the Spurs missing Wembanyama on the offensive end.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Bulls on the road 114-95 after struggling to score in the second half among other issues.

And the Spurs' offense was the focus of criticism via the Bulls television broadcasters.

During a play in the fourth period, Victor Wembanyama is calling for the ball to be lobbed toward him. However, Keldon Johnson drove to the rim for the bucket.

Yes, the bucket counts for the same amount of points if either Johnson or Wemby make it but the play drew some sharp opinions about the Spurs.

It did not stop there.

The Bulls television team called out Wembanyama's teammates saying they are not the main focus of the team; Wemby is.

Following the game, coach Gregg Popovich did say Wembanyama was on a minutes restriction (22 for the night) versus Chicago.

In addition, Devin Vassell admitted postgame that the team needs to find the rookie center more during games.

“Being a young team, we've got to be able to know each other's strengths. Wemby, at 7-5, we've got to see him," Vassell said to the media. "When he's down there and whether he's posting up or he's sealing early, we've got to see him."

San Antonio is currently on a three-game slide, is 4-23, and will next face the Mavericks in Dallas.
