SAN ANTONIO — South Texas is preparing for a sight it won't experience again for decades, if not centuries: a total solar eclipse that will bring mesmerizing darkness to several San Antonio-area communities, including Kerrville, Boerne and Fredericksburg. 

We'll reach maximum excitement Monday at around 1:30 p.m. Central Time, when cities in the path of totality will start to see the moon fully shielding the sun.
