Woman crossing street hit by driver that did not stop, police say

The driver was in a silver vehicle. The victim was taken to BAMC in stable condition.

ALAMO HEIGHTS, Texas — A woman in Alamo Heights was hit by a driver that didn't stop, according to police.

San Antonio Police responded to the intersection of Austin Highway and Mount Calvary Drive, near South Vandiver Road, around 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning for reports of an accident.

Police say the woman was crossing Austin Highway when a driver in a silver vehicle hit her, then drove off.

The woman was taken to BAMC in stable condition. 

No description was provided of the driver, who will face charges when found. No other injuries were reported.
