Woman found dead inside mobile home fire, two more taken to hospital

An adult and child were both taken to the hospital.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman was found dead inside a burning mobile home of the city's southeast side of town early Wednesday morning, according to officials at the scene. An adult and child were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

San Antonio Firefighters responded to the 5000 block of Trout Lane not far from Harmony Elementary School around 6 a.m. for reports of a mobile home on fire.

When they arrived at the location, they were told that one person was possibly trapped inside the burning structure. The flames were visible from all sides of the home.

Sadly, they found the 62-year-old woman deceased inside the building. An adult and a child were also taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

There was no word on what may have caused the fire. Officials say there was no working fire hydrant nearby, which made fighting the fire even more difficult.

The mobile home appeared to be a total loss.

This is a developing story.
