San Antonio Police say they are investigating after a statue of Christopher Columbus downtown was splashed with red paint sometime overnight, at a time when protesters nationwide are defacing statues they call monuments to racism and genocide.
No one has been taken into custody for the incident, and SAPD says a work order has been filed to clean up the statue.
