SAN ANTONIO — As the first weekend of Fiesta is underway many San Antonians are wondering if weather will cooperate. The answer is some people could get lucky.

As a cold front pushes through the area today there's a chance for pop-up showers and storms with some pockets bringing heavy rain, hail and strong winds. But the good news is for those enjoying the events early may have nothing more than humid conditions.

Here's what to expect the next 24 hours:

4:00 p.m. - Most of the day will consists of warm and humid conditions with temperatures in the upper 80s until around 4 p.m. Saturday. Therefore, if you get out and enjoy the festivities early you could have nothing but cloudy conditions. Late afternoon after 5 p.m. is when we could see rain and storms move in.

8:00 p.m. - As the cold front pushes through San Antonio there is the chance to see some heavier downpours and even hail. Storms could also push through quickly so if Fiesta-goers want to wait somewhere inside until rain moves past an area, cooler conditions will follow. But remember when thunder roars, go indoors.

10:00 p.m. - Most of the rain should be done by late evening as the front will be south of San Antonio. Behind the front expect cooler conditions with a north wind and temperatures dropping in the low 60s.

Sunday: This will be a great day to enjoy Fiesta events outdoors as rain chances will be gone and high temperatures only in the low 70s. However, if you plan to be out early take a jacket as low temperatures are expected to only be in the 50s. Enjoy!
