New Chick-fil-A at Northwoods location opens Tuesday

The approximately 5,000 square-foot restaurant will have two drive-thru lanes and more space to better accommodate guests.

SAN ANTONIO — A highly anticipated new Chick-fil-A location on the Northside at Northwoods is opening their doors for the first time on Tuesday.

Chick-fil-A Northwoods, formally known as Chick-fil-A Stone Oak, will reopen for business at their new location in San Antonio on Feb. 13.

If you ever went to the previous location on the opposite corner of Highway 281 at Loop 1604 during a busy time, you'd understand why the move was necessary. Lack of parking and traffic problems associated with cars in line at the drive-thru window more than likely made them want to consider the move.

The new restaurant will have an expanded drive-thru with multiple lines and bigger building, as well as parking lot, that will hold more people than their last location across the street. It also has an indoor dining area with 68 seats, and 26 outdoor seats, as well as a designated pick-up counter.

Juan Garza will continue to serve as the independent franchised local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Northwoods, which has served the San Antonio community for nearly 26 years.

The restaurant is located at 18120 US Hwy 281 North, and will be open for dine-in, carry-out and drive-thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The Northwoods restaurant joins more than 40 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider San Antonio market.
