Man shot, found dead inside own home near downtown, authorities say

Police responded to a shooting in progress just before 2 a.m. on San Luis Street.

SAN ANTONIO — A 43-year-old man was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds inside his own home Friday morning, police say.

Police responded to a shooting in progress just before 2 a.m. on San Luis Street. 

According to officials when officers arrived they discovered a man dead inside the home. 

Police say the man was shot in the face. 

Investigators are still trying to determine if the man was shot inside or outside the home. Police are talking with witnesses to try to piece together what happened. 

Investigators have no suspects at this time. 

No other information was provided.
