La Gran Tamalada gives visitors a taste of Christmas staple

SAN ANTONIO — On Saturday, San Antonians and visitors to the city got a taste of a Christmas tradition—one filled with tamales.

La Gran Tamalada was held at the Historic Market Square, where free tamale-making workshops were being held just in time for the holidays.

Ginger Walker attended the event last year and brought her Indiana family along this time around.

“I’m so proud of this city,” she said. “I love it here, and being able to share a little of what San Antonio’s all about.”
