Four people displaced from their home after flames ripped through their attic

When firefighters arrived at the home, they found visible smoke coming from the rooftop of the house.

SAN ANTONIO — Four people have been displaced from their home after flames ripped through their attic in far east Bexar County early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters in Bexar County, Converse and China Grove were called out to the 7100 block of Joe Louis Drive in far east Bexar County around 3 a.m. for reports of a house fire.

When fire crews arrived, they found visible smoke coming from the rooftop of the house. They successfully contained the fire to the attic.

Officials say that four people were displaced from the home. But thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The damages to the home are estimated to be around $40,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
