SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters managed to save a family's home on the south side of town after a fire destroyed their detached garage early Tuesday morning.
San Antonio firefighters reponded to reports of the blaze on the 300 block of Ware Boulevard near Pleasanton Road around 1:45 a.m.
The battalion chief at the scene says the family's detached three car garage, which had been converted into a workshop, is a complete loss after burning. Crews were able to save the main home from any major damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
