SAN ANTONIO — Officials believe lightning may be to blame for a house fire on the northwest side of town early Wednesday morning.
San Antonio firefighters responded to reports of a fire just after midnight in the 5800 block of Trent Ranch near West Hausman Road.
When first responders arrived at the home, they saw smoke showing from the attic and it appeared the roof of the home had been struck by lightning.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down a small amount of fire they found in the attic.
No word on if anyone will be displaced or even be able to return to the house at this time.
No estimate was provided on the amount of damages caused and no injuries were reported.
