Court date for Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra's accused killer pushed back to April

They were initially supposed to appear before a judge in February.

SAN ANTONIO — A new court date has been set for two of the three suspects arrested earlier this month in the killing of a pregnant San Antonio woman and her boyfriend.

Court records show a prehearing for Christopher and Ramon Preciado is now set for April 16. Both were originally set to appear in court in February.

Christopher, 19, is accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old Savanah Soto and 22-year-old Matthew Guerra two days before Christmas. Ramon, his 53-year-old father, is accused of helping Christopher hide the couple's bodies, which were eventually found in a car in a Medical Center apartment complex on Dec. 26.

That discovery sparked a search for the suspects that ended when the Preciados were taken into custody on Jan. 3. San Antonio police officials said information collected from Soto's cell phone led them to the suspects' vehicle, and later their home.

A woman who police believe to be Christopher's stepmother, 47-year-old Myrta Romanos, was also arrested for her alleged involvement. On Monday her attorney filed a motion to reduce her bond, online court records show. She has a prehearing set for Feb. 20.
