Suspect flees after man shot twice outside east-side apartment complex, police say

Police say a man was throwing out his trash when another man pulled up in a ski mask and fired multiple rounds.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot twice outside an east-side apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. 

Police responded to a shooting in progress around 3 p.m. at an apartment complex on Lord Road. 

Police say a man was throwing out his trash when another man pulled up in a ski mask and fired multiple rounds. 

The man was hit in the thigh and the foot but was able to run back into his apartment. He was later taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police say. 

Police say the suspect fled in a red jeep before officers arrived. 

Police described the suspect as a black man but his age is unknown. 

No other information was provided.
