How to help homeless San Antonio residents during the freeze

"It's not just about one organization. It's about the community linking arms, making sure that we're taking care of the most vulnerable," said Pamela Allen.

SAN ANTONIO — Organizations across the city, including Eagle's Flight, are rallying together making sure those in need stay safe during the upcoming artic blast. The organization is asking the community to rally with them.

Over the past 10 years Eagles Flight has worked with the homeless population, making sure some of their needs are met.  During the upcoming artic blast, they are once again standing with them.

"We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items, blankets, hats, coats, jackets, socks, anything that's needed to help someone stay warm in this cold weather," said Pamela Allen, CEO and founder of Eagle's Flight.

The organization is also partnering with Our House Ministries, on the city's south side to provide shelter beginning Sunday evening through Thursday night.
