How to make a candy cane cocktail, perfect drink for holiday gatherings

KENS 5 tried the Food Network's Candy Cane Cocktail which only requires four ingredients and takes approximately five minutes or less to create.

SAN ANTONIO — The holidays is the perfect time for people to gather together and stuff their faces with delicious food and treats. It's also the perfect time to get festive with cocktails.

KENS 5 tried the Food Network's Candy Cane Cocktail which only requires four ingredients and takes approximately five minutes or less to create.

  1. First start with the candy canes. You'll need to remove all the plastic wrap from the candy canes and break them into smaller pieces before putting them into your food processor or you can break them apart using a rolling pin. Then use the crushed pieces to garnish your glass.
  2. Next grab a cocktail shaker or mixing cup and add vanilla rum, white chocolate liqueur and peppermint schnapps.
  3. Add ice into your cup and mix all of the liquid ingredients together.
  4. Finally, pour the mixture into your garnished glass (use a strainer if you have one).

And, viola you should have the perfect Candy Cane Cocktail.

Ingredients needed:

  • Vanilla Rum
  • White Chocolate Liqueur
  • Peppermint Schnapps
  • Classic Candy Canes (for garnish)

The Candy Cane Recipe originated from the Food Network.
