SAN ANTONIO — Mexican singer Peso Pluma is making a stop in the Alamo City on his upcoming “Éxodo” arena tour this summer, fresh off winning a Grammy for his breakout 2023 album "Génesis."

The Mexican singer is scheduled to perform at Frost Bank Center on July 17 as part of a four-stop Texas stint. General tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, February 23 at FrostBankCenter.com or on Ticketmaster.com.

Peso Pluma, born Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, has experienced a meteoric rise to stardom. In 2023 he was anointed the most-streamed artist on YouTube – besting Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny – and the fifth-most-streamed on Spotify, led by the uberpopular single "Ella Baila Sola, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“It feels great, hearing all these people from different countries listening and singing (along) to my songs, it’s just a dream, man," he told the AP at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I’m very grateful for the genre that I do," he said. "It’s going global and it's breaking barriers. And I’m just thankful for all the people that are supporting Mexican music.”
