A local tennis teen has finished as runner-up in the largest junior tennis tournament in the world.

15-year-old Fiona Crawley placed 2nd in the 16-and-under singles bracket at the Orange Bowl junior championships Saturday evening in Plantation, FL.

She lost the title match to Estonian Katriin Saar in two sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Crawley says that she was nervous entering her finals match, but that those nerves were something she had to let go.

"Obviously, great experience," Crawley said. "Every match counts. You figure out other peoples' games, and you get better at your own game."

"Hopefully, I can use this loss to help me get better."

The Orange Bowl junior championships are not only the largest in the world but also the oldest. Former champions and participants include tennis greats Roger Federer, Chris Evert, John McEnroe, and Caroline Wozniacki.
