Spurs release TV schedule; KENS 5 to broadcast eight games

KENS 5 will broadcast eight San Antonio Spurs games this season, the team announced Wednesday as it released its full season TV schedule.

Kawhi Leonard will not attend his induction into the San Diego State Aztec Hall of Fame on Friday night, choosing to play in the Spurs' preseason  finale instead. 

KENS 5 will broadcast eight San Antonio Spurs games this season, the team announced Wednesday as it released its full season TV schedule.

Among the KENS 5 games are a home match-up against the defending Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors on March 29 and a March 31 contest at Oklahoma City against the Thunder.

KENS 5 also will air exclusive Spurs content on air within the Eyewitness News newscasts and on our digital platforms. KENS 5 is the official television station of the San Antonio Spurs.

FOX Sports Southwest will air 60 games this season and KMYS-TV will carry two games. Twelve regular-season games for the Silver and Black will be carried exclusively on national TV.

The Spurs' season opens at Oakland against the Golden State Warriors on Oct. 25 at 9:30 p.m. The home opener will be Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. when the Spurs host the New Orleans Pelicans.

Veteran broadcaster Bill Land returns to call his 14th season of Spurs basketball as the lead play-by-play announcer and former Spur Sean Elliott returns for his 16th season as the lead analyst. KENS 5's Joe Reinagel will anchor our coverage during KENS 5's Spurs games. Andrew Monaco will serve as sideline reporter and studio host and will be joined in the studio by Richard Oliver.

Saturday, Dec. 10: Brooklyn Nets @ Spurs, 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 22: Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers, 9:30 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 24: Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers, 9:30 p.m.
Friday, March 3: Spurs @ New Orleans Pelicans, 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 29: Golden State Warriors @ Spurs, 8:30 p.m.
Friday, March 31: Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:30 p.m.
Friday, April 7: Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks, 7:30 p.m.
