WATCH: Foot doctor discusses the practicality of Nike's Wembanyama’s concept sneakers

Nike showed off wild concept sneakers for the Spurs center, but how practical are they?

SAN ANTONIO — Recently, the city of Paris hosted the “Air Immersion Space” exposition, and Nike jumped on the chance to reveal a new sneaker prototype for San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama.

And just like Wemby, it is out of this world.

The "A.I.R." concept sneakers are said to be a guideline to the future of shoes, but how practical are they for Wemby or basketball players?

A foot doctor popular on YouTube explained whether these concept sneakers would work in real life.

In sum, the Wemby concept sneaker would fit the width of his feet, but it was noted that the toes would be bunched up and would not work for the Spurs center.

He also notes that with the big air chamber, Wembanyama would be much taller than his 7-5 height, and with it being a lace-less shoe, it would not be an excellent fit for Wemby.

Check out the breakdown:

Recently, Nike revealed Wemby's new alien logo during the 2024 solar eclipse (of course.)

The logo is an alien face on a basketball with Nike swooshes on the side.
