Here's how much it'll cost you to get in Game 1 of the Rangers World Series

Friday night will be the Rangers' first World Series game since 2011, and only their seventh home World Series game ever.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Rangers World Series games don't come around often. And the ticket prices for Friday's Game 1 against the Diamondbacks are reflecting that.

The "get in" price for Game 1, as of Wednesday, was around $450-$500 for standing-room-only tickets on the various secondary market websites, like Ticketmaster, SeatGeek and Stubhub. But that was before taxes and fees, which can usually tack on another $50-$100.

Oh, you actually want a seat? Well, that'll be more in the $600 range.

There was some speculation on social media Tuesday night that ticket prices (and TV ratings) might dip because the Diamondbacks aren't as high-profile of a team as the Philadelphia Phillies. But that was never going to be the case for the Rangers' games, as interest in North Texas was going to be high regardless.

Friday night will be the Rangers' first World Series game since 2011, and only their seventh home World Series game ever. The club played three games at home in the 2011 and 2010 Fall Classics.

Texas is 3-3 in their previous six World Series games at home.

This year, the Rangers have played just four of 12 playoff games at home, and they lost three of those to the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series.
