SAN ANTONIO — We are just a few days away from the April 8 total solar eclipse in the San Antonio area and the Hill Country and several businesses are offering deals to commemorate the big day.
Many parts of the city of San Antonio and the Hill Country are in the path of totality for the April 8 solar eclipse and Texas is one of only 15 states in the path. Many restaurants and fast food chains are hoping the excitement over the eclipse will held them win customers.
Here is a look at the deals and steals we found in honor of the total solar eclipse.
Burger King
All day on April 8, Royal Perks members can text the keyword ECLIPSE to 251251 to claim a special BOGO Whopper offer that can be redeemed during or after the eclipse via the BK App and online at BK.com, according to Forbes.
Chuy's Mexican Restaurant
Chuy's is offering three days of deals from Saturday, April 6 - Monday, April 8. It includes Eclipse 'Rita, $5 Chips 'N' Dips all day, and a $15 Dark Side of the Spoon parody shirt, available for a limited time.
Dairy Queen
During this eclipse, Dairy Queen restaurants in Texas will celebrate by offering a free DQ® Sandwich Treat while supplies last at participating restaurants. The offer is only available through the DQ Texas mobile app on Monday, April 8 for new and existing DQ Texas app users.

The smoothie-maker is rolling out its special eclipse Berry Blitz smoothie while supplies last. Each order of the special-edition smoothie comes with free eclipse glasses. The deal is available in San Antonio while supplies last.
