SAN ANTONIO — A middle school teacher on the southside has been arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with one of his 13-year-old students, according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit says the vicitm's mother called police and on April 19 an investigator met with administration at Losoya Middle School. The eight grade teacher was identified as Ernest Orlando Herrera and was already terminated from his position by Southside ISD Human Resources, officials say.
The affidavit says Herrera signed a written statement to campus administration stating he had both an emotional and physical relationship with his student.
Herrera was charged with a second-degree felony of improper relationship between an educator and a student.
