SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County Grand Jury returned several indictments against suspected serial killer 29-year-old Johnny Joe Avalos Tuesday.
The initial indictment alleged Avalos committed the capital murder of 15-year-old Natalie Chavez in December of 2014.
Chavez was found naked under a bridge on Veracruz.

Along with Chavez, Avalos was accused of murdering a second person, 28-year-old Rosemary Perez, in January 2015. Perez was found wrapped in a sheet along a sidewalk in the 2100 block of San Fernando.
A second indictment also charges Avalos with the murder of 29-year-old Celia Ann Lopez and 46-year-old Genevieve Ramirez, both in April of 2015.

Lopez was found in a fenced-in area along the 4400 block of South Presa and Ramirez was found unresponsive in an alley in the 100 block of Avondale. She died two months later in the hospital from her injuries.
According to Bexar County, both women were believed to be sexually assaulted, like Chavez and Perez. Avalos is scheduled to appear in the 437th District Count on Dec. 19 for a scheduling hearing.
