Suspect, deputies identified in Schertz shootout that left child dead

The deputies time with Bexar County ranges from 2 years to 27 years.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office released the names of the four deputies who fired their weapons at the suspect they believed was armed in a Schertz mobile home park on Thursday. The incident ended with the suspect dead as well as a child in the home.

The deputies' time with Bexar County ranges from 2 years to 27 years.

  • Deputy John Aguillon (27 years)
  • Deputy George Herrera (16 years)
  • Deputy Jesse Arias (7 years)
  • Reserve Deputy Johnny Longoria (2 years)

Each officer is currently on administrative leave. Sheriff Salazar said officials are reviewing body cam footage.

BCSO also identified the suspect as 30-year-old Amanda Lenee Jones. Jones was wanted on several felony warrants.
