Suspect arrested after SAPD officers discover man killed in bathtub of west-side home

According to an arrest warrant, the suspect told officers, "I just killed somebody."

SAN ANTONIO — A man has been arrested after police discover a decapitated body in a west-side home.

Bradley Adam Dimmick, 35, is facing a murder charge in connection with the death of Keith Bryan Dimmick.

According to San Antonio Police, officers were called out to the 500 block of Demya Drive around 10:15 p.m. Friday for reports of a suspicious person looking into parked vehicles.

When officers got there, Bradley Dimmick reportedly told officers, “I just killed somebody,” according to an arrest warrant.

Bradley Dimmick reportedly told officers he killed a person named “Dimmick,” and gave officers the address to a home off the 2100 block of San Lucas Street, according to police documents.

When officers went to the home, they immediately saw blood inside the front door.

Officers then entered the home, according to police documents, and discovered a dead dog near the front door.

Police documents said the officers then made another grisly discovery—a decapitated human body in the living room, and a severed human head in the bathroom tub.

San Antonio Fire EMS crews responded and pronounced 65-year-old Keith Dimmick deceased just after midnight.

According to the arrest warrant, investigators found dried blood on Bradley’s clothing.

When crime scene investigators began processing the house soon after, officers discovered a trail of dried blood throughout the house leading to the severed head in the bathtub, according to police documents.

Three surveillance cameras were also discovered during the preliminary investigation. According to the arrest warrant, the camera found in the living room “was pointed towards the decapitated body of Keith Dimmick.”

Detectives wrote in the arrest affidavit, they “observed a large stomach wound on Keith Dimmick’s body and a large stomach wound on the deceased dog.”  The detective goes on to report, “both of these wounds had intestines extruding from their bodies.”

It’s unclear when Dimmick was killed, but the arrest warrant reports that investigators found what is believed to be Keith Dimmick’s cell phone where “missed call notifications were present on the home screen going back to 9:19 a.m. on Oct 13.”

Investigators did not say whether Bradley Dimmick and Keith Dimmick are related.  However, Bradley’s home address is reported on the arrest affidavit as the same home where Keith Dimmick’s body was discovered.

According to online records, Bradley Dimmick was arrested just after midnight Saturday morning.

Bradley Dimmick is now facing murder and animal cruelty charges with bonds for the charges totaling more than $1 million.
