SAN ANTONIO - A new food truck called "Chiflada" is coming to Still Golden at 1900 Broadway, and it will feature San Antonio staples like tacos, carne guisada and burgers.
Jessica Vargas, who previously operated the Locavore food truck, is the chef and operator behind the project.
"Chiflada basically means bratty girl. Just like, 'You're very Chiflada,'" Vargas said. "The concept of the whole menu is San Antonio favorites and South Texas favorites."
Don't worry vegetarians, Vargas said the food truck will have options, including the "A Taco Called Potato" street taco plate. She is also excited to offer carne guisada fries and a chorizo burger.
"It is going to be bar food, but a little bit more elevated. Everything is fresh and bought locally," she said.
Chiflada will be stationed at Still Golden located on Broadway near Grayson Street. Eventually, Vargas said the menu could expand to offer brunch.
A soft opening will be held Wednesday and Thursday, and the grand opening will be held Friday.
"We're very much looking forward to Fiesta as well, so definitely come and see us," Vargas said.
