ALTO, Texas — The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Alto assistant football coach for improper relationship with a student.
On Friday, around 8:30 p.m., the CCSO executed a search warrant at a residence on CR 2610 in Alto.
"During the course of the search, an arrest warrant was executed on Blake Attaway for an improper relationship with a student at Alto ISD," the CCSO said.
Attaway was booked into the Cherokee County Jail.
This case is still active pending further investigation and additional arrests.
According to the Alto ISD website, in addition to being an assistant football coach, Attaway teaches physics and chemistry.
