4-year-old wanders from birthday party, drowns in pool

A 4-year-old girl who had been missing for 30 minutes from a birthday party was found drowned

LA MARQUE, Texas - A 4-year-old girl who had been missing for 30 minutes from a birthday party was found drowned in the swimming pool Sunday.

Shortly after 9 p.m., officers arrived to the 800 block of Volney and after locating the girl, began CPR. She was then transported to Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. The child was pronounced dead on arrival.

The young girl was attending a child's birthday party and wandered out of view of adults and got in the pool.
