Man dead after being found shot in Dallas apartment, police say

A 20-year-old man died Sunday morning after he was found earlier in the day lying shot in his apartment in Dallas, police said.

Editor's note: This story has been updated to include that a suspect has been arrested by police.

A 20-year-old man died Sunday morning after he was found earlier in the day lying shot in his apartment in Dallas, and now police have arrested a suspect.

Dallas police responded to a shooting call April 11 in the parking lot at the Riverwalk Apartments on Audelia Road at 10:37 a.m. and found Rquon Deshon Travis on the floor of his apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Dallas Fire-Rescue took Travis to a local hospital, where he died of his wounds.

Police have since announced an arrest in Travis' death. Damontray Tavonne, 20, was arrested May 24 by the US Marrshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force and was taken to the Dallas County Jail. He now faces a murder charge, in connection to Travis' death.
