Months ahead of next year's Fiesta Celebration, the Texas Cavaliers announced this years river parade theme and their new Grand Marshal.

George P. Bush will head next year's river parade. The Texas Land Commissioner said he's honored.

"This is the 77th Grand Marshal and I've been asked to join the list of great Texans," he said.

Bush, the son of Jeb Bush and nephew of George W. Bush, is also the guardian of the Alamo. His aunt, Laura Bush, also served as Grand Marshal several years ago. Bush said the parade is about celebrating Fiesta, but also giving back to charity.

The Texas Cavaliers, an all-volunteer organization, has given millions of dollars to support San Antonio's children, with many of the funds coming from the annual Texas Cavaliers River Parade.

"Let's have fun during Fiesta, but also remember we're giving back to others," he said.

The Texas Cavaliers also unveiled their new Fiesta medal. The theme is Magnificent Missions and features San Jose, San Juan, Concepcion, Espada and the Alamo.
