BEXAR COUNTY — People leaving a movie theater on the northwest side rushed to save a driver from his burning car, but they were not able to get him out in time.
Bexar County deputies say just after midnight early Thursday morning, a man was speeding on Alamo Ranch Parkway when his car went airborne and crashed into a light pole.
The car caught fire and people leaving the movie theater across the street, along with deputies, rushed over to help him.
But, before they could get the man out, the car exploded and the driver died.
