Snow blankets North Texas: Your photos of the wintry weather

The snowfall is expected across large portions of North Texas, but in varying amounts.

Snow is piling up across parts of North Texas this Sunday, and viewers have sent in plenty of pictures and video of the "winter wonderlands" developing in their backyards.

Below are three galleries: one featuring snow-covered landscapes, one of the creative snowpeople Texans have created, and a third of kids and pets frolicking in the snow.  

All of these photos were submitted to WFAA by viewers from across North Texas via the "Near Me" section of the WFAA app. Enjoy! 

From areas like Stephenville to Bluff Dale, people in Palo Pinto County and elsewhere across North Texas were seeing fat, fluffy flakes blanketing their backyards by about 8 a.m. Sunday. By 9 a.m., folks in Burleson saw the snow, and by 10 a.m., Fort Worth had some coming down too.

  • Joshua: 3 to 4 inches
  • Weatherford: 3 to 4 inches
  • Waco: 3 to 4 inches
  • Cleburne: 3 to 4 inches
  • Hillsboro: 4 inches
  • Whitney: 4 inches
  • Nemo: 4 inches
  • Hewitt: 4 inches
  • Breckenridge: 4 inches
