The cannons were moved from the Alamo for a few months during the preservation process.

SAN ANTONIO - A team from Texas A&M University is working to preserve cannons used during the Battle of the Alamo in 1836.

Texas General Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush's office announced that this is part of a long-term commitment to conserve the Alamo's historic buildings and artifacts.
